N\u00e9 \u00e0 Glaris en 1904 et mort \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve en 1980, Hohl \u00e9tait un \u00e9crivain passionn\u00e9 d\u2019alpinisme, r\u00e9compens\u00e9 notamment par le prix Schiller. Souvent d\u00e9crit comme aust\u00e8re, il appara\u00eet pourtant, dans ses \u00ab Notes \u00bb, comme un observateur attentif, curieux et parfois plein d\u2019humour.<\/p><p>R\u00e9dig\u00e9s, selon l\u2019auteur, entre 1934 et 1936 aux Pays-Bas, ces textes courts et parfois lapidaires proposent un parcours vari\u00e9 entre conte, fragment, parabole, r\u00e9cit de r\u00eave, citation comment\u00e9e et anecdote.<\/p><p>Publi\u00e9es en allemand en 1944 et 1954, les \u00ab Notes \u00bb avaient d\u00e9j\u00e0 paru en fran\u00e7ais en 1982, dans un volume de plus de 500 pages devenu difficile \u00e0 trouver. <a href=\"https:\/\/florideshelvetes.ch\/catalogue\/notes-varia-et-image\/\">La nouvelle \u00e9dition, traduite et pr\u00e9fac\u00e9e par \u00c9tienne Barilier<\/a>, adopte un format de poche et r\u00e9unit deux des douze parties de l\u2019ouvrage original : \u00ab Varia et Image \u00bb.
